Hell's Paradise fans have something big to rejoice about, as MAPPA is finally bringing back the historical action-fantasy anime for its second season three years after its debut in Spring 2023. Hell's Paradise Season 2 is scheduled to release on Sunday, January 11, 2026.
As part of the announcement, the anime unveiled its main key visual, giving fans a glimpse of the beloved characters. Additionally, MAPPA also released character visuals and cast members for four new characters set to appear for the first time in the upcoming season.
Hell's Paradise Reveals Season 2 Release Date With Main Key Visual
On Friday, November 28, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of Hell's Paradise announced that the anime's second season is scheduled to release on Sunday, January 11, 2026, at 11:45 PM JST on TV Tokyo and its affiliates.
The anime will stream in Japan 30 minutes later, at 12:45 AM JST, on Amazon Prime Video, Netflix, and Lemino. The same episode will stream worldwide on Crunchyroll as it airs.
MAPPA made this announcement by unveiling the anime's main key visual. The powerful visual features 12 characters in total, namely Gabimaru, Sagiri Yamada Asaemon, Yuzuriha, Choubei Aza, Touma Yamada Asaemon, Mei, Gantetsusai Tamiya, Shion Yamada Asaemon, Nurugai, Fuchi Yamada Asaemon, Shugen Yamada Asaemon, and Rien.
With the visual, the anime wanted to showcase Gabimaru and others' strong facial expressions as they face off against the overwhelmingly powerful Rien. The Tensen can be seen looking down on them with a mysterious look in the visual.

In addition to the release date and main key visual, MAPPA also unveiled the character visuals and cast members for four new characters who are going to appear for the first time in the upcoming anime season. The four characters are namely, Yamada Asaemon Shugen, Yamada Asaemon Jikka, Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru, and Yamada Asaemon Isuzu.
The new cast members are as follows:
- Ryouta Suzuki as Yamada Asaemon Shugen
- Kouji Yusa as Yamada Asaemon Jikka
- Maaya Uchida as Yamada Asaemon Kiyomaru
- Sayaka Ohara as Yamada Asaemon Isuzu
Lastly, MAPPA also unveiled chibi illustrations for the characters in the series to commemorate the broadcast of the second season. While the animation studio did not reveal the full details, the staff hinted that the illustrations are going to be used in a special project that is currently under production.
