Josef Zinnbauer's JS Kabylie played to a goalless draw with Tanzanian champions Young Africans in the CAF Champions League on Friday.

Despite the Algerian outfit being eager to get off the mark in Group B, the visiting Yanga were hard to break down, taking a crucial point back to Dar es Salaam.

As a result, Timu ya Wananchi top the table with four points accumulated from two matches, while Zinnbauer's men sit at the bottom of the group with one point.

Up next for the former Orlando Pirates coach is a clash against Moroccan side FAR Rabat next year in January, having already lost to Al Ahly in the group stage opener.

Notably, the German mentor guided Kabylie to Champions League football for the first time since the 2021/22 campaign.

Zinnbauer was appointed in January 2025, replacing Abdelhak Benchikha, who resigned, citing lack of support from the club's hierarchy.
