The Chicago Bears have been wearing a "VMH" patch on their jerseys this season, and the reason behind it is near and dear to the franchise.
For the first time in decades, Chicago began the season without its owner, the late Virginia Halas McCaskey, who passed away in February. McCaskey was the oldest child of Bears founder George Halas. To honor Halas McCaskey, the team chose to stitch bright orange patches on their jerseys this season.
