The Philadelphia Eagles issued their third and final official injury report in advance of their Week 13 Black Friday home game against the Chicago Bears.

The Eagles ruled three players OUT: Lane Johnson, Xavier Gipson, and Myles Hinton.

The Eagles seem to think Lane Johnson might be able to play in Week 15. Until then, Fred Johnson will play right tackle.

Gipson got hurt in Week 12. The Eagles will likely use Britain Covey at punt returner after adding him from the practice squad to the roster.

Hinton is still in his 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve.

DeVonta Smith, Saquon Barkley, Reed Blankenship, Landon Dickerson, and Brandon Graham are all listed without a game status.

This means they’re ready to play despite appearing on the injury report this week. DeVonta was notably full go on Thursday after sitting out on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Willie Lampkin’s 21-day practice window to return from injured reserve expired.

This means he’ll remain on IR this season. Bummer.

The Eagles temporarily elevated two players ahead of Friday’s game: Patrick Johnson and Andre’ Sam.

Johnson’s elevation gives the Eagles more depth at edge rusher but it’s probably more about his ability to contribute on special teams. This is Johnson’s third and final elevation for the regular season. The Eagles will have to sign him to the roster if they want him available on game day prior to the playoffs. Once the postseason begins, he’ll be eligible to be temporarily elevated for every playoff game the Eagles play.

Sam’s elevation gives the Eagles more depth at safety. The Eagles currently only have two full-time safeties active for Friday: Blankenship and Sydney Brown. They do have non-safety options, such as Cooper DeJean and Michael Carter II. Those guys will probably play safety ahead of Sam but it doesn’t hurt to have an extra body at the position in case things get dire.

Lampkin’s practice window to return from IR was previously opened but the Eagles did not activate him before it closed. BVS, Wilson, and Okoronkwo suffered season-ending injuries.

CHICAGO BEARS INJURY REPORT (THURSDAY)

The Bears are really thin at off-ball linebacker, where they’re missing their top three options.

The good news for Chicago that they’re getting both of their starting cornerbacks from injured reserve despite them being ruled questionable to play.
