Week 14 of the Big Ten could produce the most chaos all season, with a couple of upsets and and a coach's seat getting even hotter

Micah's forecast for Week 14 and rivalry weekend in the Big TenStory byMicah Huff, Trojans WireFri, November 28, 2025 at 4:07 PM UTC·4 min read

Many will be excited to see Ohio State play Michigan this Saturday for the intensity and the star power, most notably with Carnell Tate and Jeremiah Smith. Yet, Big Ten football fans cannot overlook the most important matchup between the youngest players on the field, Julian Sayin and Bryce Underwood. Week 14 could also be either the last straw for one coach, or another victory to get a team on the right page prior to the 2026 season.

Here are my Week 14 bold predictions for Big Ten football:

Bryce Underwood will outplay Julian Sayin

Saturday in the Big Ten will feature one of the best rivalries in college football. It will also feature a game between two high-level true freshman quarterbacks. Julian Sayin has gotten recognition for being a Heisman candidate all season long, but Bryce Underwood still feels far away from that. In this game, though, I think both narratives will flip. Bryce Underwood will look like the Heisman Candidate quarterback, displaying his arm talent and impressing with his legs. For the Wolverines to have success, they need Underwood to play at his best. I think he can, and he will have his best performance of the season to take down the Buckeyes. Julian Sayin will have a game similar to his week 1 game versus Texas, only this time it won't be enough to get a win.

Demond Williams and Dante Moore Jr. will put on a show

Both Demond Williams and Dante Moore Jr. have put together Heisman-worthy performances this season. Both quarterbacks have led their teams to successful seasons. Oregon will be facing Washington, where they play the best, nd where Demond Williams puts together his best performances. I think both quarterbacks will light it up in this game between former Pac-12 teams. Just like USC had success versus Oregon, through the air, I think Demond Williams can play at his best and put up big numbers. Whatever Williams puts up in this game, I think Dante Moore will match that and be the one to lead his team to victory. Both quarterbacks will throw for over 250 yards, and each will tally 3 touchdowns, making for one of the highest-scoring games of the week.

Kaytron Allen will improve his draft stock against Rutgers

Kaytron Allen is one of the best backs in the country, and against Rutgers, he will show that with another monster game. Last week, Allen was the player who led the charge for Penn State's offense, posting up 160 yards rushing and 2 rushing touchdowns. Against Rutgers' susceptible run defense, I think Allen will eclipse 200 rushing yards in this game and help Penn State get another blowout win.

Wisconsin will blow out Minnesota

Wisconsin's defense held Oregon to 21 points and kept things close with Indiana for a good chunk of that match-up. While Washington struggles mightily on the road, the Badgers still held an explosive Huskies offense to just 10 points. The Gophers are not as talented as those teams offensively, and if you stop their run game, they will struggle to move the ball down the field. In the games the Gophers lost, they got blown out, and a common denominator was quarterback Drake Lindsey being at the forefront of those struggles. I think the Badgers will bottle up running back Darius Taylor and force Lindsey to make mistakes all game long. Offensively, the Badgers are not that good, but they might have found something special with sophomore running back Darrion Dupree. The Gophers have not been a tough team to run on. I think the Badgers can replicate last week's success on the ground. Given all these factors, I think Wisconsin will take down the Gophers in a convincing fashion.

Preston Stone takes down Illinois with stellar game

Last week, the Wildcats' offense was unstoppable against the Golden Gophers. While the Fighting Illini might be a tad bit better, they, like Minnesota, are an overrated team in the Big Ten. Preston Stone versus Minnesota was on the money, he finished that game 25-30, 305 yards passing, and 2 passing touchdowns. That is the efficient play the Wildcats will need from Stone to take down Illinois. I think he will be able to provide that. The Wildcats will be able to run the ball against Illinois, allowing Stone to get going through play action. I think it will be another big game for the Stone to Griffin Wilde connection. The Wildcats will end the season on a high note, securing two big wins. Prestone Stone will be the biggest reason for that with his elite play.
