This would be a fun deal to pull off.

It's Black Friday, which means it's time to make some acquisitions.

MLB.com's Anthony Castrovince got into the spirit of the season with a trade idea in a new article that features the Washington Nationals, Baltimore Orioles and Philadelphia Phillies.

In this suggested trade, the Phillies would get catcher Adley Rutschman.

The Orioles would land lefty MacKenzie Gore and catcher Keibert Ruiz.

And the Nats would get Nick Castellanos and three prospects: Aidan Miller, Carson DeMartini and Caden Bodine.

This would land the Orioles the ace they need while moving on from Tuschman to let Samuel Basallo the long-term catcher.

The Phillies would get their replacement for J.T. Realmuto.

And the Nationals would land quality future pieces for Gore, who they have for just two more years of club control.

"As for the Nats, they’d deepen their system considerably and, importantly, they would also be getting out of the long-term entanglement with Ruiz by taking on a short-term entanglement with Castellanos, who can do some DH’ing for them until he’s cut loose or maybe dealt at the Deadline," Castrovince writes. "This helps free up the books longer term for a new front-office regime."

Castrovince acknowledges this would be a long-shot deal, and that there'd be a reason for every team in it to say no.

But the premise of his article is to come up with some trade ideas that are just so out there that maybe they'd work.

Don't count on this one getting done anytime soon.

But there's also a lot of truth to the individual pieces he suggests being moved. Gore, Rutschman and Castellanos could all get traded, just maybe not all in the same deal.
