Star Trek: Starfleet Academy revealed WWE Superstar Becky Lynch's mystery character, and a fan theory could link her Starfleet Officer to Holly Hunter and Carol Kane. Becky Lynch's real name is Rebecca Quinn, and her character reveal comes nearly two months after Star Trek: Starfleet Academy's trailer was revealed at New York Comic Con. Lynch was nowhere to be seen in the trailer, and the first official photo comes nearly a year after Becky was announced as joining Star Trek: Starfleet Academy's cast.

The name of Becky Lynch's Star Trek: Starfleet Academy character is still unknown. All that can be gleaned from Lynch's photo reveal is that her Starfleet Officer is a member of the USS Athena's bridge crew, wears a gold Operations uniform, and she is apparently human — or looks human.

Star Trek Fan Theory About Becky Lynch’s Starfleet Academy Character Could Link Her To Holly Hunter & Carol Kane

Producer and host Ryan T. Husk posited an interesting theory about Becky Lynch's Star Trek: Starfleet Academy character. During Virtual Trek Con's The Main Viewer podcast,

Husk speculated whether Becky Lynch's Starfleet Officer could be the younger sister of Captain Nahla Ake, played by Academy Award nominee Holly Hunter.

A passing resemblance between Holly Hunter and Becky Lynch could potentially make their Star Trek: Starfleet Academy characters siblings, or at least related. If that turns out to be the case, it would mean that Becky Lynch would also be part-Lanthanite. Captain Ake is half-Lanthanite and is 422 years old.

Lanthanites are a new, extremely long-lived species that are indistinguishable from humans. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds introduced the franchise's first Lanthanite, Commander Pelia (Carol Kane). The eccentric Chief Engineer of the USS Enterprise is over 5,000 years old.

However, Becky Lynch's character being a Lanthanite in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, or being related to Captain Ake, is purely speculation at this point. Yet it would also be an intriguing way to link Lynch's character to a greater and still-developing Star Trek legacy.

When she debuts in Star Trek: Starfleet Academy, Becky Lynch instantly becomes the highest-profile WWE Superstar to be part of Star Trek. Although Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson guest-starred as the Pendari Champion in Star Trek: Voyager season 6's "Tsunkatse," it was only for one episode.

Dwayne Johnson became one of the biggest movie stars in the world well after his Star Trek: Voyager appearance, which was early in his acting career. In contrast, "The Man" Becky Lynch joins Star Trek: Starfleet Academy at the height of her global fame as a WWE Superstar.

Star Trek: Enterprise hosted two WWE guest stars. The late Tommy "Tiny" Lister, Jr., who was known as Zeus in WWE, was the Klingon named Klaang in Enterprise's series premiere. "The Big Show" Paul Wight played an Orion slaver in Star Trek: Enterprise season 4's "Borderland."

If Becky Lynch appears in more than one Star Trek: Starfleet Academy episode, that would instantly eclipse her WWE peers' Star Trek stints, but it remains to be seen how often "The Man" comes around the USS Athena.
