Dortmund to make late decision on Beier's availability for Leverkusen clash

Borussia Dortmund hope to have Maximilian Beier back for Saturday's Bundesliga encounter with Bayer Leverkusen.

After missing Tuesday's 2–0 Champions League win over Villarreal, the German attacker will take part in Friday's training session, with a final decision on his availability to be made afterwards.

“Maxi Beier will take part in the final training session with the team today. After that we’ll know whether he can play,” confirmed head coach Niko Kovač at his pre-match press conference.

He also revealed that Tuesday's win brought no new injury concerns.

“The match was very successful but also intense. Everyone came out of it unharmed. Süle remains unavailable. Everyone else is involved.”
