Von Miller hates playing against Broncos, who he still dreams about

Washington Commanders pass rusher Von Miller spoke on his podcast, "Free Range with Von Miller" ahead of their primetime game with the Denver Broncos about the fond memories he has from his time in orange and blue.

"I [expletive] hate playing old teams," Miller said. "Whether it's the (Los Angeles) Rams, or it's the Buffalo Bills... or the Denver Broncos. It's just like seeing your ex-girlfriend, and y'all gotta go to like a banquet or a function together and you gotta just sit there and you gotta act weird like you don't know 'em. Like y'all didn't spend time together."

Miller has played the Broncos twice since he was traded to the Rams in 2021, recording just one tackle and one quarterback hit in those two games. Miller played for the Bills both times when facing Denver.

Miller has especially great memories in Denver, where he won a Super Bowl and a Super Bowl MVP. "I spent 11 years with the Denver Broncos. The majority of my football life's with the Denver Broncos," Miller said. "I still have dreams about the Denver Broncos. Like, to this day, if it's a game on, and I have to pick which game to watch, I'm watching the Denver Broncos. When I see them play, I feel a part of it."

Miller has a tremendous love for Denver, their fans and former teammates Garett Bolles, Courtland Sutton and others. Miller is likely in the twilight of his career, but playing against the Broncos is always a bittersweet event.
