Alas, the Midlands outfit will be doing their utmost to keep hold of their star beyond the 2026 summer window.

Indeed, it’s thought that Forest value him in the region of £100 million, meaning they stand to make a substantial profit on the £35 million they shelled out for him in July 2024.
Ornstein explained in The Athletic’s ‘Transfer Radar’ update this morning that United are concrete admirers of the 24-year-old, whose efforts at club level led to him being awarded his senior England debut in September.
The Red Devils are unlikely to be able to entice Anderson with attractive financial terms, as he already pockets £100,000 per week at the City Ground, where he’s tied down to a contract until 2029.

However, if they do end up finishing in the bottom three come May, you can almost guarantee Anderson will be requesting a departure to test his resolve elsewhere.
It’s also why United need to secure some form of European qualification. If the midfielder continues to be targeted by a host of top sides, he will presumably favour the ones who can offer him more experience in some of the biggest competitions, such as the Champions League or, failing that, the Europa League.
