The Canadian Olympic curling trials are set to kick off Saturday, Nov. 22, with eight men’s and eight women’s teams battling for the chance to represent their country in Northeast Italy.

Team Canada’s Olympic trials often provide a window into the fight for medal positions come Olympic season. The Canadians have 12 curling medals to their name, the most in Olympic history. Six of those are gold, two more than their closest rival, Sweden.

Canada fell short of an Olympic title in 2022, settling for bronze in the men’s competition and a fifth-place finish in the women’s competition. That may inspire some strong performances from the Canadian faithful, including Brad Gushue, Mark Nichols and Brett Gallant — all members of Team Canada’s men’s Olympic curling team in 2022.

The Sporting News is tracking updates and results from Team Canada’s Olympic curling trials. Follow below to see who clinched a spot on the final Olympic roster at Scotiabank Centre in Halifax.
